DOCTRINAL BELIEFS

SCRIPTURES
We believe the Scriptures, the sixty-six books of the old and New Testaments, in their original form, to be plenarily and verbally inspired, without error. The Scriptures are God's complete and closed revelation to man and the only authoritative Word of God. God has and will preserve His Word throughout all generations.
II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; Romans 16:25-26; Matthew 5:18

GOD
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19-20; Matthew 3:16-17; Isaiah 45:5-6; John 17:3

JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (that He is, indeed, coequal with the Father), His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious, and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, His intercessory work, and His personal return in power and glory. Matthew 1:18-25; Mark 16:19; Luke 21: 27; 24:36-43; Romans 8:34; II Corinthians 5:21; Colossians 2:9; Revelation 5:9

MAN
We believe that man as represented in Adam was created in the image of God and is not the product of any evolutionary process. Adam, by his man free will, sinned, which has caused the entire human race to be born with a sinful nature. This sinful nature which we choose to exercise, gains for us the condemnation and wrath of God. To escape this condemnation and wrath, man must of his own free will experience the New Birth by repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Genesis 1:26; John 1:12, John 3:3; Romans 5:12; Titus 3:5

SALVATION
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; was buried; and arose again from the dead in His glorified body,ascended into heaven, and as our great High Priest and Advocate, He ever lives to make intercession for us; that all who believe on His name are justified on the grounds of His shed blood and receive the gift of eternal life by the grace of God. Nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner but his own voluntary rejection of the gospel.
Ephesians 2:8,9; Hebrews 7:24,25; Isaiah 1:18; John 3:16-18,36; Romans 5:8-10; I Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 10:9)

HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, Who convinces the sinner of his need of salvation, regenerates the repentant sinner, and baptizes the believer into the body of Christ at the moment of salvation.
He also seals, indwells, fills, guides, and teaches the believer. John 14: 16-17,26; John 16:8-11,13; Ephesians 4:30, Ephesians 5:18; I Corinthians 6:19-20

CHURCH
We believe that the church of Jesus Christ began at Pentecost and is a living spiritual body of which our Lord Himself is the Head. The "church which is His body" is the entire company of believers in Christ consisting of all regenerated people. While recognizing this body of the redeemed collectively that makes up the ultimate bride of Christ, it is specifically the local church that the Lord Jesus Christ has ordained to edify His people and to send them out to evangelize the world. The local church has been entrusted with the administration of two ordinances: First, baptism by immersion after salvation as an outward sign of an inward work of grace; and Secondly, the Lord's Supper as a token of remembrance of the atonement of Christ till He comes. Matthew 28:19; I Corinthians 11:23-24; Ephesians 4:4-16; Colossians 2:12; Acts 1:5, 2:1-4,41-42; 10:44-48; I Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 1:22-23;

ETERNAL SECURITY
We believe in the eternal security of the believer in Christ. They are kept by the power of God, and can know they are eternally saved, once forever! John 10:27-29; Ephesians 4:30; Romans 8:35-39; Hebrews 13:5;

SEPARATION
In order to guard the purity of the truths mentioned above, we recognize that the Scriptures command personal separation unto God from world attitudes, motives, goals, friendships, speech, amusements, styles and dress, etc. It also commands ecclesiastical separation from false religious teachers and from persistently disobedient brethren. Ecclesiastical separation includes a rejection of liberalism, Neo-orthodoxy, New Evangelicalism, and the charismatic movement. Obedience to these commands brings the joy of full and unhindered fellowship with our Father. Romans 12: 1-2, 16:17; II Corinthians 6:14-7:1; II Thessalonians 3:6, 14-15; Titus 3:10; II John 7-11

LAST THINGS
We believe in the pre-tribulational, premillennial rapture of the church, the body and bride of Christ. We believe in the period of great tribulation of seven years following the rapture. The Great Tribulation (Daniel's seventieth week) will end with the coming of Christ in power and glory to the earth in order to set up His kingdom and rule for a thousand years. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life (eternal joy with the Savior), and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (eternal death in Hell following the Great White Throne Judgment) Daniel 9:24-27; John 5:28-29; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:1-6, 10-15; 21:27
